Egyptian Resorts Company (ERC) is one of Egypt’s most prominent hospitality and real estate development entities, responsible for the master planning and development of Sahl Hasheesh. The organization oversees large-scale resort infrastructure and supports multiple high-end hotel developments across Cairo and the Red Sea region. With a workforce of approximately 150 employees, including senior engineers and technical specialists, ERC operates within a highly demanding and mission-critical environment where IT stability, security, and scalability are essential.
As the company continued to expand its operations and manage complex architectural and hospitality projects, ERC required a comprehensive evaluation of its existing IT infrastructure to ensure long-term sustainability, performance, and alignment with future growth.
As ERC’s operations expanded across Cairo and the Red Sea, the company faced increasing challenges related to the scalability, reliability, and security of its IT infrastructure. Over time, a mix of legacy systems, aging hardware, and fragmented network architecture began to impact performance, operational efficiency, and future readiness. ERC required a comprehensive and independent IT audit to assess their current infrastructure, identify risks, test system reliability, and create a long-term technology strategy aligned with their growth plans and enterprise standards.
Cupid Solutions was engaged to conduct a full IT infrastructure audit and provide a strategic enhancement roadmap tailored to ERC’s scale and future vision. The project spanned approximately eight to ten weeks and involved close collaboration with ERC’s internal engineering and management teams.
Our engagement began with a comprehensive assessment of ERC’s existing IT environment. This included detailed reviews of desktops and laptops, server infrastructure, network architecture, UPS systems, CCTV, IP telephony, and all supporting hardware components. Each asset was evaluated for performance, reliability, lifecycle status, and alignment with best practices.
We also conducted extensive testing to identify malfunctioning or obsolete hardware that posed risks to daily operations or long-term stability. This assessment was performed across all operational locations to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Following the audit phase, Cupid Solutions delivered a detailed and structured IT infrastructure report outlining the current state of ERC’s systems. The report provided clear classifications of assets that were functioning optimally, those requiring immediate replacement, and those suitable for phased upgrades.
Based on these findings, we developed a comprehensive five-year IT and infrastructure strategy designed to support ERC’s operational growth, enhance system reliability, and reduce long-term costs. The strategy included hardware refresh plans, infrastructure standardization recommendations, security improvements, and scalability guidelines to support future expansion and new developments.
In addition, we provided guidance on proper disposal and replacement of malfunctioning hardware, ensuring compliance with operational and security standards. The final deliverables empowered ERC’s management team with clear visibility, data-driven recommendations, and a roadmap that could be executed in phases without disrupting ongoing operations.
Through this engagement, ERC gained full clarity over its IT environment for the first time in years. The company was able to identify critical risks, eliminate inefficiencies, and establish a structured plan for sustainable IT growth. The five-year strategy enabled ERC to move from reactive IT management to a proactive, future-ready infrastructure model.
By addressing obsolete systems and planning upgrades strategically, ERC significantly reduced the risk of downtime, improved operational reliability, and ensured that its IT infrastructure could support both current operations and future hospitality developments.
